Hi, I just got back home for Thanksgiving and I've decided to blog. Mostly, because there's not much else here to do that I want to do more than blog right now.
I'm just waiting for Adrian to call me back.
I've decided to entitle my project for my Senior Year at SVA, PULPO. Spanish for squid, it's a fitting title for my "pulp" fiction story about an Octopus that attacks New York.
I don't want to give away too much but it involves a fishwoman, a crazy old man, a ten year old with a rifle, and an Octopus. There's a character sketch I colorized of Henry(etta)!
I've kinda gotten in this Digital Coloring rut where all I do in Photoshop is putter around trying my best to make it not look like I was puttering around in Photoshop. Ui Mompis!
I also did a submission for the Visual Opinion Calander Issue. I did March because it's one of the few months that means business(I'm pretty sure I chose it at random). Again, it's got that yellow tint I stole a little from Seth but mostly from my Dad's Pogo Ten Year Collection book he gave me recently. I never read Pogo until about a month ago I was talking to my papa about how much I love Calvin and Hobbes. Next thing I know he whips out this giant Pogo book that's been sitting on our shelf for years. It's beautifully old, collecting Walt Kelly's Pogo strip from 1948 to 1958. It's something to see.

I cannot wait to hold pulpo in my hands
The colors are really nice. Whenever I walk by your studio space, I always admire the pencils for this piece. Awesome :)
BTW, this is Ashley Q. if it wasn't completely obvious.
